Provides a community clothing closet offering free clothing to any one in need, including those needing one-time emergency clothing. Supplies free blankets to those needing help during the winter as well as other types of donated bedding throughout the year. Holds an annual Prom-N-Aide event which provides free prom attire and accessories to high school students. Offers a section of professional attire for those needing appropriate clothing for job interviews and new employment.

Description

Provides free blankets to families and individuals who need help keeping warm during the winter. Other types of bedding which has been donated may also be available throughout the year.

        Special Notes/Funding

        Clients should present a Neighborhood Card or be in the process of obtaining a Neighborhood Card in order to receive ongoing services at The Dressing Room. Neighborhood Cards are obtained at the CAReS office which is located in the same building as The Dressing Room.

        Description

        Provides a community clothing closet which offers free secondhand or new clothing to any one needing assistance. Clients can visit the facility once a week and get clothing for those individuals living in their household. Other items such as shoes, blankets, linens, small household items and hygiene products may also be available based on donations.

        Availability

        Available items depend on what has been donated and is on hand at any given time. The collection may include but does not specialize in infants' and children's clothes, adult casual and work clothes, maternity clothes and shoes.

              Special Notes/Funding

              Prom-N-Aide is a program for high school students which is offered annually and held usually in March. The 2023 Prom-N-Aide event is scheduled to begin March 25. See the Facebook page for further updates at facebook.com/federatedcharities/

                    Description

                    Provides new or gently used interview suits, dress pants, dresses, skirts, blouses, footwear, and other accessories for individuals in need of professional attire for job interviews and career fairs to help them secure and retain gainful employment, or for newly hired employees who need appropriate clothing to start a new job.
